Name	Rui Miguel Marto
Position	Director
Education	Rui obtained his Bachelor of Arts degree in 1989 and his Bachelor of Law degree in 1991, both from the University of Witwatersrand.
Work history	Rui was admitted as an Attorney in May 1994. After being employed as attorney (professional assistant) for 18 months, he co-founded Marto Lafitte & Assoc in 1995. Rui currently specializes in Commercial Law and Civil Litigation including Magistrates’, High Court litigation and arbitration. Rui hosts a number of seminars and has appeared as a guest speaker at various professional and private forums.
On a personal note	Rui enjoys reading, gym, tai chi and fly-fishing.

Name	Theo Kleinhans
Position	Head of the Conveyancing Department
Education	Theo studied at the University of Port Elizabeth where he completed his B Proc degree in 1995.
Work history	Theo completed his clerkship and was admitted as an attorney and Conveyancer in 2004 and was then admitted as a Notary in 2009. He joined Marto Lafitte & Associates in 2013 as Head of the Conveyancing Department. Theo specializes in Conveyancing which includes: Registration of Transfers, Bonds, subdivisions and Consolidations; Township establishment Opening Sectional Title registrations
On a personal note	Theo enjoys spending time with his family as well as travelling and hitting the open road on his motorbike.

Name	Charl Du Plessis
Position	Litigation attorney
Education	Charl obtained his Bachelor of Law from the University of Johannesburg in 2006. Advanced Certificate in Company Law in 2010 and post grad certificate in the Law of Banking and Financial Markets in 2011
Work history	Charl completed his articles at Marto Lafitte & Assoc Inc in 2010. We have invited him to remain as a professional assistant upon his admission. Charl was groomed to remain at MLA into his present position. Charl attends to Nedbank foreclosures and general civil litigation (contractual and delictual).
On a personal note	Charl enjoys going to the gym and playing touch rugby, he also enjoys reading and staying close to family.

Name	Carla Pinto
Position	Group Marketing Manager
Overview	The Marketing Department with its creative campaigns and customer services strategies offers this firm a competitive edge. Carla Pinto, is the Group PR & Marketing Manager. She brings a dynamic and fresh approach to the firm’s marketing. Before joining Marto Lafitte & Associates, Carla owned her own company, which specialized in the event management and marketing of Retail Shopping Centres nationally. Her vast PR & Marketing experience coupled with her knowledge on shopping centre developments has added tremendous value to the firm and its clients in the property industry.

Name	Shamera Joganna
Position	Senior Bonds Processor Manager- Rates Solution
Work history	Shamera has had a number of years experience in the home loans division of both Std Bank and Absa. After leaving the banking world behind in 2006, she joined the Mortgage Origination Industry. Her years of experience and knowledge in the home loans sector has added vast significance in being able to assist our clients and business partners in the property industry. Since joining Dimension Home Loans in April 2010, Shamera has also headed up Rates Solution, a division of Marto Lafitte and Associates.Teamed with a dedicated council consultant, Eric Lekgau, this dynamic duo are able to provide a solution to all rates, electricity, water and sanitation queries at City of Johannesburg and various councils within Ekurhuleni, thus providing a substantial advantage in the turnaround times in registration of property transactions.
On a personal note	Shamera enjoys spending quality time with family and friends, reading, dancing and yoga.

Name	Monica De Sousa
Position	Commercial and Litigation Attorney
Education	Monica obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Johannesburg in 2000 and her Bachelor of Laws degree at the University of South Africa in 2011. She completed a post graduate certificate course in Cyber Law in 2012 at Wits University.
Work history	Monica has worked for Marto Lafitte & Associates Inc since 2002 (in various positions). She was admitted as an attorney in June 2012 and was invited to remain with the company as a professional assistant. Department and field of experience: Commercial law (especially: company, contract, trust, cyber law) Civil litigation (especially: contractual and delictual)
On a personal note	Monica enjoys reading, spending time with friends and family, doing yoga and going to the gym.

Name	Riona Pillay
Position	Litigation and Deceased Estates Attorney
Education	Riona obtained her Bachelor of Law from the University of Witwatersrand in 2009.
Work history	In April 2010 Riona was afforded the opportunity of doing her articles at Marto Lafitte and Associates Inc. We have invited her to remain as a professional assistant upon her admission in March 2013. Riona attends to General Civil Litigation and Deceased Estates.
On a personal note	Riona enjoys watching movies and collecting shoes.
